What are the advantages of boutique medicine versus traditional practice?
At Concierge Internal Medicine, we offer longer appointment times, more direct medical access to Dr. Daniel Boss, and limited number of patients seen overall. The reason Dr. Boss limited patient membership is so he can spend extra time researching, diagnosing, coordinating and caring for patient’s health concerns.
Can I become a concierge member even if I do not have health insurance?
Yes, we accept patients that do not have health insurance. Patients with no health insurance will need to realize ancillary services such as labs, ultrasounds and xrays may be an added cost in the absence of insurance. With insurance these items will be billed directly. Also, you might consider paying your membership fee through your health savings account.
How does we work with my current health insurance provider?
Your membership fee allows for benefits not covered by health insurance. Your current insurance plan will cover traditionally covered costs including X-rays, ultrasounds and labs, among others.
How does the membership work?
Each member shall pay a yearly membership fee. Each member will be required to pay a yearly renewal fee to maintain membership in the boutique practice.
Will Dr. Daniel Boss visit me at Jupiter Medical Center?
Dr. Boss has maintained his hospital privileges at Jupiter Medical Center. Should a member be admitted to Jupiter Medical Center, Dr. Daniel Boss will admit and follow members during their hospital stay.
Will Dr. Daniel Boss see patients admitted to Gardens Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens?
Currently should a patient be admitted to a local hospital which Dr. Daniel Boss does not follow patients, Dr. Boss will coordinate and communicate medical care with the assigned hospital physician and sub-specialists. Dr. Daniel Boss does maintain hospital privileges at Jupiter Medical Center located in Jupiter, Florida.
As a seasonal resident to South Florida, will Dr. Boss coordinate care even though I am out of town three months of the year?
Dr. Daniel Boss is committed to patient care year round. Members can expect communication with Dr. Boss even though they may be out of state. Assistance with medical needs while traveling, including web visits if needed is just one of the many benefits.
If I am considering becoming a concierge patient with Dr. Boss, will I have an opportunity to interview him before committing to a membership?
It is important that patients interested in becoming a concierge member have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Boss. Please call the office to discuss a meet and greet with our physician for consideration.
Is concierge medicine covered by my health insurance?
The annual membership fee is not covered by health insurance. Be sure to check with your insurance to see how they handle concierge medicine. Because concierge medical practices are a fast growing popular approach to medical care, a number of insurance providers are well-versed in what your plan will cover.
Will members still have to pay for co-pays or any out of pocket medical expenses?
Yes, patients are still responsible for any medical co-pays and out of pocket expenses related to their health care needs. The annual concierge membership fee is considered a value added service.
What if I am admitted to a local hospital like Jupiter Medical Center? Will Dr. Boss be able to see me at Jupiter Medical?
Yes, Dr. Daniel Boss has maintained full hospital privileges at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida. Dr. Boss will be able to continue to provide medical care. If you are admitted to another hospital such as St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach or Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Dr. Boss will work closely with the medical staff / hospitalists on staff to coordinate your care and health care needs.
What will happened if I get admitted to a hospital that is not Jupiter Medical Center where Dr. Boss does not round?
Whether you are outside of Florida or at a medical facility that Dr. Boss does not go to, concierge patients can rest assured knowing Dr. Boss will be speaking to the assigned physicians at the medical center. His role will be communicating to the hospital medical personnel your medical conditions and assist in coordinating services in preparation for discharge.
